I have been a Ford, Lincoln and Mercury automotive collector, published writer, and local historian for more than 25 years. During my travels across North America in pursuit of securing, preserving, and sometimes rescuing, historical Ford agency (i.e.: dealership) items of interest, I have met a handful of knowledgeable collectors with the same shared interests. Aside from making new friends along the journey and expanding the collection, I am documenting each item for its authenticity and agency heritage before the knowledge base disappears from existence through the loss of aging collectors who were part of the bygone era.
